LakeCourse
Gerhard Frühling, who runs the club together with his brothers Paul and Karl, is a landscape planner and designed the LakeCourse himself:
"Three Par 5s, two Par 3s and four Par 4s make up a true Par 37 championship course over almost 3,000 metres.“
The youngest of the three courses is a challenge for all skill levels. Water is present throughout the course – whether at the tee, in the landing areas, or next to the greens. It demands precision and good course management to master the holes. You can find a geographical overview of our Lake Course in the interactive bird book!
Specifications
9 Holes, Par 37 (Yellow: 2,843 m / Red: 2,731 m)
„A great place that both challenges and invites attack - water is key!“
Highlights
- Even from the slightly elevated first tee, the view is fantastic: water snakes its way along the side of the fairway; a pond protects the huge green. With the right strategy, a good score is no problem.
- Hole 3 is the longest and at the same time the most difficult hole on the LakeCourse, at 491 metres. It is not uncommon for players to lose their ball in the water hazard before the green or to land their ball out of bounds.
- Hole 4 with its imposing, hilly green tempts an aggressive approach – Birdie chance!
- On the 6th, there's no alternative but to play the ball directly to the flag. However, the large island green on this short par 3 isn't all that difficult to hit.
About the Course
On holes 7 and 8, the water is more of a secondary concern, before becoming truly challenging again on the final hole, which is only 244 metres long. The approach shot requires the utmost concentration. The course is particularly impressive due to the numerous ponds. Several elevated tees ensure that you can really enjoy the details between some of the holes. The crowning glory is the 9th, a 244-metre par 4. Here, strategy is essential. It's common for long hitters to miss the green and for their ball to land in the water. You've never played the LakeCourse before?
